Spanish Mackerel fishing

The florida keys has such a vast fishery , maybe that is way we call Islamorada the sport fishing capital of the world.
yesterday I took a few guys out to the Gulf of Mexico, the ride is between 35 to 45 min. depending on how far you go. As usual this time of year the gulf produces a good bite. what is needed is a plethora of live shrimp,I take twelve dozen on a four hour trip, with three guys. quarter ounce jig heads, on number three or four wire, one block of premium chum and a small mesh chum bag thats what I use, the chum just last longer. anchor in between eight and twelve feet of water. you could look for the other boats however PLEASE BE COURTEOUS and don’t run threw there chum slick or anchor to close to the other boats . Especially don’t anchor in another boats chum slick. There is plenty of room out in the Gulf. Good Luck. Captain C.W.Kitto
